We first met Mike Capron at his studio in Sheffield, TX while on our way to an archeological project in Independence Creek, TX. His interest and ours in the Butterfield Trial and Horsehead Crossing brought us together for the 150th Anniversary of the Goodnight-Loving Trail celebration in Crane, TX. Since then we have always stopped by on our travels and kept him apprised of our projects. We have inspired each other. He has asked us for background on some of his projects and we have invited him to our field work to inspire him on new projects. Here are some of the results of that collaboration.
